Clarion House

New construction tripled the size of this once modest 1980’s house which transformed it into a classic country seat at the center of the owner’s equestrian estate. Drawing upon historic examples, the new exterior architecture includes a classic front portico and front door with leaded glass transom, enhanced cornice mouldings, pilasters, moulded door and window casings with entablatures, and new brick “decorated” chimney tops. The interiors were similarly enhanced with classical trim work, and a new grand staircase. New spaces included a gourmet kitchen with stone countertops, a new living room and sitting room which featured English-made marble mantles, built-in mahogany book cases, and a new en-suite master bedroom.
